Sigelei releases 150 watt temperature control mod

After solidifying their position as one of the top high-end regulated mod manufacturers with the sturdy, reliable 100W Plus and 150W models, Sigelei has updated their highest-powered device.

The updated 150W now comes with Temperature Control (TC) support for Ni200 coils, firing up to 572 degrees Fahrenheit (300 degrees Celsius) at up to 100 joules. In temperature mode you get all of the benefits of this method of vaping, including increased battery life – we’ve been using the device with Ni200 coils and the Smok TFV4 sub-ohm tank and been getting two days out of a pair of freshly charged 18650 batteries!

The device also retains the 150 watts of power of its predecessor, and you can choose in 0.1 watt increments from 10-100 watts, and in single watt increments from 100-150 watts. The high-end Sigelei mods have always packed in the power, and this one is just as good in standard mode.

For some, the original Sigelei designs were too bulky, too blocky, but the company has addressed this with several changes to the form factor of the mod. Gone are the sharp edges, replaced with a staggered chassis and rounded edges in a beautiful, easy-to-hold, ergonomic design.

The same build quality exists and, if anything, has been advanced with the high-grade aluminium body. In all honesty, the Sigelei 150W TC feels great in the hand.

But all of the features mean nothing if it doesn’t do its job, so…

How does it vape?

After running Ni200 coils in the TFV4 tank on the Asmodus SnowWolf 200W, we switched the same tank onto the Sigelei 150W TC. At the same output power as the maximum on the SnowWolf in TC mode (70 watts), the Sigelei hit harder immediately by having no ramp-up time. We happily turned the temperature down, and the power up to 85 joules, and the performance was outstanding; in temperature control mode, this device out-performs its competitor.

[Additionally, you can tell the Sigelei which mode to run in (Power or Joule mode) and as such there is no delay in firing while the mod tries to locate a temperature-sensing coil.]

We were super impressed with the Sigelei 150W TC, and know that you will be too. For all of the high-wattage vapers out there – or anyone who may want to switch to that later on – you can’t go wrong with this device!
